What is Sora?

In the hopeful future we will have an application that sustains a community unlike Facebook, or Google+ and unlike Steam. This application will allow us to deliver our own upcoming work to it's community however, every individual will have an opportunity to contribute, create and share with this community in their own personal way. Be it music, illustration, architecture, animation, literature or programming.


What does SORA mean?

Sora originates from Japanese, in English it directly translates to sky. Sora Project-studio is about freedom, perspective and ambition. We think that the word and name 'sora' works well with our image.


What do we do?

What we firmly believe in is solid story telling and well defined characters. Manga, Literature, Visual Novels, Games are our main areas of focus. While the concept, the characters and the story are all important aspects for our work, what I feel is most important is the way the creator and/or author percieve their story, the way they interpret it and communicate it. I hope we'll be able to communicate ideas and stories that people can really relate with and understand.


Who are we?

For the moment officially it's me and James Green. I am Daniel Tilbey. I am the visual director, artist and writer, I do appreciate writing my own stories, while I am also tempted to develop a greater understanding of programming, I am concerned that I cannot manage the illustration and the programming of the material which means we are/will be looking for a programmer when I cannot possibly manage both. James is the concept and story writer and is a co-creator of Sora Project, he encouraged me and helped a great deal in creating our image.


What is our goal?

The intention of Sora Project is to create a community where people are free to share their projects, ideas, notions and random thoughts with the world. We want our community to realise what true freedom is and to encourage independant learning, ambition and dreams.

1. Create and share:
*Providing a service for entertainment, manga, games and visual novels. (and animation?)
*Addressing real life awareness and actual social issues while providing something people can relate with and understand.

2. Access to a community of creative talent:
*Join or create a circle to encourage independent skill handling within a team effort, sometimes one person isn't enough.
*Create specialized circles that focus on a particular area of creativity, connect and share with people of similar talents.

3. Provide inspiration, encouragement and motivation:
*Independent learning gives you total control over what you study, teachers can only teach you what they know and what they have time to teach you. Why not teach yourself?
